How are you reacting? 🤔

Recently an acquaintance of mine ended his life as he was upset due to some incidence. Since then I am also very upset. I thought I would share my thoughts with everyone.

Time never stays the same and just like that circumstances often change. We have to adjust with changing times and changing circumstances.

There is no need to react to everything that bothers us. Wherever necessary, action can take place. Action is done after giving it a thought whereas reaction is instantaneous and random like a chemical.

Reacting to things that bother us gives someone else power over our feelings. As I often say/write, in such case our remote control is in someone else's hands.

We can't control what others do, but we can control how we react/act, how we handle it, how we look at it and how much we want to take it personally.

When we are stuck in a traffic jam because of the dancing bridal processions, it is better to take our attention somewhere else than to burn in anger. When the flight is cancelled it may be a better option to explore other possibilities than to yell in anger. When the situation is out of our control, it is wiser to accept the situation rather than react.

Let us work on ourselves and on our peace of mind and we will realize that not reacting to every little thing that bothers us, is the first component of living a happy and healthy life.
